Create a Floorplan Map with No-Go Zones

Creating a floor plan map of your house allows you to set up No-Go Zones, so you can tell your Neato which areas of your house you want to avoid cleaning.

Set up a floorplan map

In order to create a floor plan, the robot must have gone through its first cleaning run starting from its charge base. During that first clean, the robot maps out the room(s). Once it has finished cleaning and returned to the cleaning base, this first map is saved in your MyNeato app.

Create No-Go Zones

1. Access the map by clicking on the map symbol at the bottom of your app, the second symbol from the right.

2. Select the map that you wish to modify, then click on the edit button to add No-Go Zones.
   If the edit button does not appear, your robot is most likely offline/shut down or otherwise not connected to the app. Reconnect it and try again.

3. Click on 'Add No-Go zone' and a violet rectangle appears. Move and resize the rectangle to fit the area that you want your robot to avoid cleaning. You can add several No-Go Zones on one map.
   Tip: pinch two fingers on your smartphone screen to zoom in and out of your map.

4. To remove a No-Go Zone, click on the violet rectangle, then select the delete button.

5. Tap on the return button on the top left of your screen and your No-Go Zones will be saved automatically.

6. Your map can be modified at any time by entering the edit mode again.
   
     

Delete a floorplan

Click on a map and scroll to the bottom of the page. Here you can see an option to 'delete' the selected map. Deleted maps cannot be retrieved.
